The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Metamora Redbirds (Metamora, IL) and the visiting Washington Panthers (Washington, IL), saw Metamora's volleyball squad beat Washington by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Metamora upgrades its record to 5-3 on the year. The Redbirds travel to Morton (Morton, IL) to play the Potters in a Mid-Illini bout on Thursday, September 7. The Potters go into the bout with a record of 10-1. Morton won 2-0 in their recent league bout against Canton (Canton, IL)

The Panthers now own a 3-3 record. They play next when they host Pekin for a Mid-Illini bout on Thursday, September 7. Washington will play a Dragons squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Dunlap (Dunlap, IL). The Dragons record now stands at 4-4.
