In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Colonial Heights Colonials volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Highland Springs Springers.

The Colonials (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Matoaca (Chesterfield, VA). The Warriors come into the Central challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Matoaca was beaten by Hanover (Mechanicsville, VA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Springers meet the J.R. Tucker Tigers (Henrico, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 9. Highland Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Varina (Richmond, VA).
