In Thursday's non-league match, the host Sheridan Spartans football squad scored a good 28-16 victory over the Jefferson Lions.
The Spartans (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Neah-Kah-Nie (Rockaway Beach, OR). The Pirates enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Neah-Kah-Nie was toppled by Irrigon (Irrigon, OR), 22-16, in a non-league contest.
