The Seguin Cougars walloped the host Red Oak Hawks football team by a score of 50-14 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars play the Burleson Elks (Burleson, TX) in a 5A-2 Region I District 3 challenge, on Thursday, September 12. Seguin will attempt to improve on its 2-0 season record. The Elks go into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 13-8 non-league win over Cleburne (Cleburne, TX).

The Hawks (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Cedar Hill (Cedar Hill, TX). The Longhorns go into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Cedar Hill was ripped by Allen (Allen, TX), 41-14, in a non-league challenge.
