In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Foothills Christian Knights volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Grossmont Foothillers.

The Knights (2-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Escondido Charter (Escondido, CA). The White Tigers enter the challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Escondido Charter was tipped by Maranatha Christian (San Diego, CA), 2-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Foothillers meet the El Capitan Vaqueros (Lakeside, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 7. Grossmont will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Vaqueros enter the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Santana (Santee, CA).
