In Thursday's non-league outing, the host Beloit Memorial Purple Knights soccer squad scored a tight 5-0 victory over the DeKalb Barbs.
The Purple Knights (4-1) will now prepare for their outing against Madison La Follette (Madison, WI). The Lancers go into the non-league outing with a 0-3 record. In their last outing, Madison La Follette was overwhelmed by Madison East (Madison, WI), 5-2, in a league outing.
Next up, the Barbs play the Hampshire Whip-Purs (Hampshire, IL) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, September 7. DeKalb will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Whip-Purs go into the outing with a 2-1 record after their 8-1 non-league win over Antioch (Antioch, IL).
