Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Blazer Tomcats (Ashland, KY) and the host Lawrence County Bulldogs (Louisa, KY), saw Blazer's soccer squad hold off Lawrence County by a count of 2-1.

The Tomcats (2-5) will now prepare for their battle against East Carter (Grayson, KY). The Raiders enter the non-league battle with a 6-4 record. In their last battle, East Carter was edged by Montgomery County (Mt. Sterling, KY), 3-2, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Paintsville Tigers (Paintsville, KY) in a non-league battle, on Monday, September 9. Lawrence County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record.
