Jersey Panthers (Jerseyville, IL) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Southwestern Piasa Birds (Piasa, IL), 5-0 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Jersey moves its record to 1-3 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Father McGivney Catholic (Glen Carbon, IL) to clash with the Griffins in a non-league test on Monday, September 9. The Griffins come into the test with a record of 4-0. Father McGivney Catholic won 9-0 in their recent league test against Metro-East Lutheran (Edwardsville, IL)

The Piasa Birds now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lutheran for a non-league test on Friday, September 6.
