Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Middletown Islanders (Middletown, RI) and the visiting Narragansett Mariners (Narragansett, RI), saw Middletown's soccer squad knock off Narragansett by a count of 2-0.

The Islanders (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Johnston (Johnston, RI). The Panthers enter the Division 3 battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Johnston by Pilgrim (Warwick, RI), 5-3, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Mariners battle the Block Island (New Shoreham, RI) in a Division 3 battle, on Friday, September 6. Narragansett will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record.
