In Thursday's non-league test, the Beatrice Orangemen (Beatrice, NE) softball squad overwhelmed the host Ashland-Greenwood Bluejays (Ashland, NE), by a count of 8-0.

Next, the Orangemen meet the Platteview Trojans (Springfield, NE) in a non-league test, on Monday, September 9. Beatrice will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record. The Trojans go into the test with a 3-7 record after their 11-8 non-league loss to Ponca (Ponca, NE).

The Bluejays (6-4) will now prepare for their test against Crete (Crete, NE). The Cardinals go into the non-league test with a 5-1 record. In their last test, Crete toppled Lincoln Northwest (Lincoln, NE), 3-1, in a non-league test.
