Colorado High School Softball - Douglas County edges Smoky Hill

September 5, 2024: Castle Rock, CO 80104

The Douglas County Huskies (Castle Rock, CO) softball the visiting Smoky Hill Buffaloes (Aurora, CO), 14-12 in Thursday's non-league outing.

The Huskies now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Horizon for a non-league outing on Saturday, September 7. Douglas County will encounter a Hawks team coming off a 13-2 league win over Fairview (Boulder, CO). The Hawks record now stands at 4-7.

With the loss, Smoky Hill moves to 1-9 on the season. The Buffaloes host ThunderRidge (Highlands Ranch, CO) to encounter the Grizzlies in a non-league outing on Monday, September 9. The Grizzlies come into the outing with a record of 3-2. ThunderRidge won 6-3 in their recent non-league outing against Pueblo Central (Pueblo, CO)
