The Comets (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against MOC-Floyd Valley (Orange City, IA). The Dutchmen enter the contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, MOC-Floyd Valley beat Sioux City East (Sioux City, IA), 2-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Indians meet the Akron-Westfield Westerners (Akron, IA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, September 5. Spirit Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Westerners enter the contest with a 1-1 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to West Lyon (Inwood, IA).
