The Bracken County Polar Bears topped the host Newport Wildcats volleyball squad by a final score of 2-0 in Thursday's non-league game.
Next up, the Polar Bears confront the Lewis County Lions (Vanceburg, KY) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, September 10. Bracken County will attempt to advance on its 5-2 season record.
The Wildcats (0-7) will now prepare for their game against Scott (Covington, KY). The Eagles go into the non-league game with a 7-6 record. In their last game, Scott gained a win over Lloyd Memorial (Erlanger, KY), 3-0, in a non-league game.
