The Gillespie Miners (Gillespie, IL) volleyball held off the host Bunker Hill Minutemen (Bunker Hill, IL), 2-1 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Miners now possess a 1-7 record. They play next when they host Highland for a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 10. Gillespie will clash with a Bulldogs team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Hillsboro (Hillsboro, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-2.
