Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Hale County Wildcats (Moundville, AL) and the visiting Parker Thundering Herd (Birmingham, AL), observed Hale County's volleyball team hold off Parker by a count of 2-1.

The Wildcats (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Northside (Northport, AL). The Rams enter the non-league contest with a 11-1 record. In their last contest, Northside got by Carbon Hill (Carbon Hill, AL), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Thundering Herd battle the Fultondale Wildcats (Birmingham, AL) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 7. Parker will attempt to move on its 6-7 season record. The Wildcats enter the contest with a 0-4 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Tarrant (Birmingham, AL).
