Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Midland Eagles (Wyoming, IA) and the visiting Starmont Stars (Arlington, IA), observed Midland's volleyball team top Starmont by a tally of 3-1.

The Eagles (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Oelwein (Oelwein, IA). The Huskies enter the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Oelwein beat West Central (Maynard, IA), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Stars meet the Clayton-Ridge Eagles (Guttenburg, IA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, September 10. Starmont will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Eagles enter the contest with a 1-3 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Cedar Valley Christian (Cedar Rapids, IA).
