Louisiana High School Football - Barbe thwarted by Airline

September 5, 2025: Bossier City, LA 71111

Airline Vikings (Bossier City, LA) fans left the game content Friday as they observed their football squad top the visiting Barbe Buccaneers (Lake Charles, LA), 56-27 in a non-league test.

The Vikings now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Benton for a 5A District 1 test on Friday, September 12. Airline will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 49-16 non-league loss to Northwood (Shreveport, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 0-2.

The Buccaneers (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Lake Charles College Prep (Lake Charles, LA). The Trailblazers go into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Lake Charles College Prep lost by Westgate (New Iberia, LA), 28-20, in a non-league challenge.
