The Anderson Trojans (Austin, TX) football trounced the visiting Elgin Wildcats (Elgin, TX), 42-0 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Trojans now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host College Station for a 5A-1 Region III District 12 game on Friday, September 12. Anderson will battle a Cougars team coming off a 43-32 non-league loss to Magnolia (Magnolia, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 0-2.

The Wildcats (0-2) will now prepare for their game against Montgomery (Montgomery, TX). The Bears enter the non-league game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, Montgomery overwhelmed Caney Creek (Conroe, TX), 48-0, in a non-league game.
