Illinois High School Football - Murphysboro trounces Anna-Jonesboro

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Murphysboro Red Devils football squad scored a decisive 41-6 victory over the Anna-Jonesboro Wildcats.

The Red Devils (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Benton (Benton, IL). The Rangers enter the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Benton routed Robinson (Robinson, IL), 63-0, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Wildcats confront the Massac County Patriots (Metropolis, IL) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 12. Anna-Jonesboro will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Patriots go into the battle with a 1-1 record after their 42-0 non-league win over Ballard Memorial (Barlow, KY).
