North Carolina High School Football - Ashbrook holds off Northwest Cabarrus

September 5, 2025: Concord, NC 28027

The Ashbrook Greenwave (Gastonia, NC) football tipped the host Northwest Cabarrus Trojans (Concord, NC), 21-17 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Greenwave now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marvin Ridge for a non-league game on Friday, September 12. Ashbrook will battle a Mavericks team coming off a 15-3 non-league loss to Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC). The Mavericks record now stands at 2-1.

The Trojans (2-1) will now prepare for their game against South Rowan (China Grove, NC). The Raiders enter the South Piedmont 4A/5A outing with a 3-0 record. In their last outing, South Rowan edged Trinity (Trinity, NC), 38-23, in a non-league game.
