The Ottawa Cyclones walloped the visiting Atchison Phoenix football team by a score of 49-7 in Friday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Cyclones face the Baldwin Bulldogs (Baldwin, KS) in a Frontier challenge, on Friday, September 12. Ottawa will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Bulldogs go into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 46-0 non-league win over Iola (Iola, KS).
With the defeat, Atchison drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Phoenix host Harmon (Kansas City, KS) to meet the Hawks in a Meadowlark test on Friday, September 12. The Hawks come into the test with a record of 0-1. Harmon lost 6-0 in their recent non-league test against Maranatha Christian Academy (Shawnee, KS)
