Barnstable Red Hawks (Hyannis, MA) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Minnechaug Regional Falcons (Wilbraham, MA), 49-20 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Barnstable advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Red Hawks travel to Brockton (Brockton, MA) to play the Boxers in a non-league battle on Friday, September 12. The Boxers go into the battle with a record of 0-1. Brockton lost 42-7 in their recent non-league battle against North Attleborough (North Attleborough, MA)

The Falcons now own a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Doherty Memorial for a non-league match on Friday, September 12.
