    In Friday's league game, the Benjamin Russell Wildcats (Alexander City, AL) football squad were winner over the host Calera Eagles (Calera, AL), by a margin of 42-13.

    The Wildcats now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chilton County for a 6A Region 3 outing on Friday, September 12. Benjamin Russell will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 23-6 league loss to Helena (Helena, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 1-2.

    With the defeat, Calera drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Pelham (Pelham, AL) to clash with the Panthers in a 6A Region 3 outing on Friday, September 12. The Panthers come into the outing with a record of 1-2. Pelham won 19-7 in their recent league outing against Chelsea (Chelsea, AL)
