Southern McLean [Washburn/Wilton/Wing] Cardinals (Washburn, ND) boosters were content Friday as they observed their football squad nudge the visiting Bowman County co-op [Bowman/Scranton] Bulldogs (Bowman, ND), 28-24 in a league match.

The Cardinals (3-0) will now prepare for their match against Shiloh Christian (Bismarck, ND). The Skyhawks come into the A Region 4 match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Shiloh Christian was nudged by Trinity (Dickinson, ND), 46-27, in a league test.

With the defeat, Bowman County co-op [Bowman/Scranton] drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Hazen (Hazen, ND) to face the Bison in a A Region 4 challenge on Friday, September 12. The Bison go into the challenge with a record of 0-3. Hazen lost 33-6 in their recent league challenge against Killdeer (Killdeer, ND)
