Weymouth Wildcats (South Weymouth, MA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Braintree Wamps (Braintree, MA), 42-0 in a league battle.

With the win, Weymouth upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Whitman-Hanson Regional (Whitman, MA) to meet the Panthers in a non-league test on Friday, September 12. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 0-1. Whitman-Hanson Regional lost 20-17 in their recent non-league test against Pembroke (Pembroke, MA)

With the defeat, Braintree drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Wamps host Quincy (Quincy, MA) to play the Presidents in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 12. The Presidents go into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Quincy won 41-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Revere (Revere, MA)
