In Friday's league match, the visiting Gray-New Gloucester Patriots football squad scored a good 42-14 triumph over the Cape Elizabeth Capers.
The Patriots (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Sacopee Valley (Cornish, ME). The Hawks go into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Sacopee Valley toppled Traip (Kittery, ME), 24-8, in a league challenge.
The Capers (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Yarmouth (Yarmouth, ME). The Clippers go into the 8-Man Large South (8 Man) challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Yarmouth went down by Mt. Ararat (Topsham, ME), 44-20, in a league test.
