In Friday's league match, the host Grafton Spoilers football squad scored a close 18-14 triumph over the Carrington Cardinals.
The Spoilers (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Rugby (Rugby, ND). The Panthers come into the A Region 2 match with a 1-2 record. In their last match, Rugby was nudged by Park River (Park River, ND), 24-6, in a league match.
Coming up next, the Cardinals play the Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon Hornets (Harvey, ND) in a A Region 2 test, on Friday, September 12. Carrington will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.
