The Centennial Eagles football squad scored 44 points and limited the host St. Helens Lions to 0 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.
In their next game, the Eagles face the McNary Celtics (Keizer, OR) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 12. Centennial will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Celtics enter the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 35-0 non-league loss to Ridgeview (Redmond, OR).
The Lions (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Putnam (Milwaukie, OR). The Kingsmen come into the non-league outing with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, Putnam was overwhelmed by Sammamish (Bellevue, WA), 41-14, in a non-league outing.
