The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Lake Mills Bulldogs (Lake Mills, IA) and the host Central Springs Panthers (Manly, IA), witnessed Lake Mills's football squad knock off Central Springs by a tally of 36-15.

The Bulldogs (1-1) will now prepare for their bout against BCLUW (Conrad, IA). The Comets go into the A District 2 bout with a 0-2 record. In their last bout, BCLUW was topped by West Fork (Sheffield, IA), 56-20, in a league bout.

The Panthers now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Nashua-Plainfield for a non-league bout on Friday, September 12. Central Springs will encounter a Huskies team coming off a 57-0 league win over Postville (Postville, IA). The Huskies record now stands at 2-0.
