Florida High School Football - DeSoto County falls to Central

September 5, 2025: Brooksville, FL 34613

The Central Bears felled the visiting DeSoto County Bulldogs football team by a score of 18-6 in Friday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Bears meet the Weeki Wachee Hornets (Weeki Wachee, FL) in a 3A District 7 test, on Friday, September 12. Central will attempt to move on its 3-0 season record. The Hornets come into the test with a 2-1 record after their 26-22 non-league loss to Tenoroc (Lakeland, FL).

With the defeat, DeSoto County drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host LaBelle (LaBelle, FL) to meet the Cowboys/Cowgirls in a non-league test on Friday, September 12. The Cowboys/Cowgirls come into the test with a record of 4-0. LaBelle won 38-0 in their recent non-league challenge against First Baptist Academy (Naples, FL)
