The Concord Spiders football squad scored 27 points and limited the host North Gaston Wildcats to 0 in the Spiders non-league triumph on Friday.

The Spiders now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host West Rowan for a South Piedmont 4A/5A test on Friday, September 19. Concord will meet a Falcons squad coming off a 44-21 non-league loss to Walkertown (Walkertown, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 1-2.

With the defeat, North Gaston drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to South Caldwell (Hudson, NC) to face the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 12. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. South Caldwell lost 42-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Tuscola (Waynesville, NC)
