The ConVal Cougars (Peterborough, NH) football tipped the visiting Kennett Eagles (Conway, NH), 21-20 in Friday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Cougars face the Souhegan Sabers (Amherst, NH) in a Division II - West game, on Friday, September 12. ConVal will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Sabers enter the game with a 1-0 record after their 47-14 non-league win over St. Thomas Aquinas (Dover, NH).
The Eagles (0-1) will now prepare for their outing against Plymouth (Plymouth, NH). The Bobcats come into the Division II - East outing with a 1-0 record. In their last outing, Plymouth edged Milford (Milford, NH), 48-0, in a non-league outing.
