In Friday's non-league game, the West Rusk Raiders (New London, TX) football team were victorious over the host Diboll Lumberjacks (Diboll, TX), by a score of 22-12.

In their next game, the Raiders face the Gladewater Bears (Gladewater, TX) in a non-league game, on Thursday, September 11. West Rusk will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Bears enter the game with a 2-0 record after their 43-15 non-league win over New Diana (Diana, TX).
