The Johnston Dragons football squad (Johnston, IA), was outscored 31-10 in Friday's non-league contest with the host Dowling Catholic Maroons (West Des Moines, IA)

The Maroons (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Dallas Center-Grimes (Dallas Center, IA). The Mustangs enter the 5A Group 2 contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Dallas Center-Grimes thwarted Ottumwa (Ottumwa, IA), 49-0, in a non-league contest.
