In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Lisbon Lions football squad scored a good 28-14 triumph over the Durant Wildcats.
The Lions (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Columbus (Waterloo, IA). The Sailors come into the non-league match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, Columbus was beaten by Grundy Center (Grundy Center, IA), 41-7, in a non-league match.
The Wildcats now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Wilton for a non-league battle on Friday, September 12. Durant will play a Beavers team coming off a 19-14 non-league win over Sigourney-Keota (Sigourney, IA). The Beavers record now stands at 1-1.
