California High School Football - Elk Grove triumphant over Golden Valley

September 5, 2025: Elk Grove, CA 95624

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Elk Grove Thundering Herd (Elk Grove, CA) and the visiting Golden Valley Cougars (Merced, CA), witnessed Elk Grove's football squad wallop Golden Valley by a tally of 55-19.

The Thundering Herd (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Franklin (Elk Grove, CA). The Wildcats enter the Delta League contest with a 2-1 record.

Coming up next, the Cougars battle the Pitman Pride (Turlock, CA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 12. Golden Valley will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record. The Pride enter the contest with a 2-1 record after their 24-21 non-league loss to Hughson (Hughson, CA).
