Texas High School Football - Fairfield wallops Mexia

The Fairfield Eagles football squad scored 66 points and limited the host Mexia Black Cats to 0 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.

The Eagles now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Brownsboro for a non-league test on Friday, September 12. Fairfield will meet a Bears squad coming off a 34-27 non-league win over Jacksonville (Jacksonville, TX). The Bears record now stands at 1-1.

With the defeat, Mexia drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Black cats travel to Gatesville (Gatesville, TX) to face the Hornets in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 12. The Hornets go into the challenge with a record of 2-0. Gatesville won 30-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Glen Rose (Glen Rose, TX)
