In Friday's non-league game, the Franklin Pierce Cardinals (Tacoma, WA) football team overcame the host Lincoln Abes (Tacoma, WA), by a tally of 38-29.

In their next game, the Cardinals battle the Lynden Lions (Lynden, WA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, September 13. Franklin Pierce will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Lions enter the game with a 1-0 record after their 38-8 non-league win over Ferndale (Ferndale, WA).
