The Gentry Pioneers edged the host Pea Ridge Blackhawks football team by a score of 7-3 in Friday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Pioneers face the Hackett Hornets (Hackett, AR) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 12. Gentry will attempt to improve on its 2-0 season record. The Hornets enter the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 39-13 non-league win over Danville (Danville, AR).
The Blackhawks (0-2) will now prepare for their test against Siloam Springs (Siloam Springs, AR). The Panthers come into the non-league test with a 1-1 record. In their last test, Siloam Springs was nipped by Alma (Alma, AR), 29-22, in a non-league test.
