The Sandy Creek Comets (Sandy Creek, NY) football were winner over the host Herkimer Magicians (Herkimer, NY), 22-7 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Comets now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cato-Meridian for a Section 3 D - 1 outing on Friday, September 12. Sandy Creek will face a Blue Devils team coming off a 54-0 non-league win over Jordan-Elbridge (Jordan, NY). The Blue Devils record now stands at 1-0.

The Magicians (0-1) will now prepare for their game against Onondaga (Nedrow, NY). The Tigers enter the non-league game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, Onondaga fell by Port Byron (Port Byron, NY), 20-18, in a league game.
