Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Highland Tech Rams (Gastonia, NC), 90-0 in a league battle.

With the win, Shelby advances its record to 1-2 on the season. The Golden Lions travel to West Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC) to encounter the Rebels in a Southern Piedmont 2A/3A/4A battle on Friday, September 12. The Rebels go into the battle with a record of 2-1. West Lincoln won 50-15 in their recent league battle against Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC)

The Rams now hold a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cherryville for a Southern Piedmont 2A/3A/4A match on Friday, September 12. Highland Tech will confront a Ironmen squad coming off a 28-0 league loss to Lincolnton (Lincolnton, NC). The Ironmen record now stands at 2-1.
