Mississippi High School Football - Jim Hill can't hold off Port Gibson

Port Gibson Blue Waves (Port Gibson, MS) boosters were content Friday as they observed their football squad nudge the visiting Jim Hill Tigers (Jackson, MS), 18-14 in a non-league match.

The Blue Waves (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Wilkinson County (Woodville, MS). The Wildcats come into the non-league match with a 0-3 record. In their last match, Wilkinson County was nudged by Salem (Tylertown, MS), 40-36, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Tigers confront the Lanier Bulldogs (Jackson, MS) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 12. Jim Hill will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Bulldogs come into the match with a 2-0 record after their 42-6 non-league win over Moss Point (Moss Point, MS).
