In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Maine Central Institute Huskies football squad scored a good 40-22 triumph over the Mattanawcook Lynx.
The Huskies (1-0) will now prepare for their match against John Bapst Memorial (Bangor, ME). The Crusaders come into the D North match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, John Bapst Memorial defeated Madison (Madison, ME), 46-6, in a league match.
Coming up next, the Lynx confront the Maranacook Black Bears (Readfield, ME) in a D North match, on Friday, September 12. Mattanawcook will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Black Bears go into the battle with a 0-1 record after their 54-0 league loss to Winslow (Winslow, ME).
