The Union City Chargers felled the host Maple Valley Lions football team by a score of 36-7 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Chargers play the Sand Creek Aggies (Sand Creek, MI) in a Big 8 challenge, on Friday, September 12. Union City will attempt to improve on its 2-0 season record. The Aggies go into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 56-28 league loss to Quincy (Quincy, MI).
The Lions (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Reading (Reading, MI). The Rangers go into the Big 8 challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Reading was dropped by Springport (Springport, MI), 43-18, in a league challenge.
