Mississippi High School Football - Meridian sneaks past Neshoba Central

September 5, 2025: Meridian, MS 39305

The Meridian Wildcats football squad scored 31 points and limited the visiting Neshoba Central Rockets to 30 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now hold a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Starkville for a non-league test on Friday, September 12. Meridian will face a Yellowjackets team coming off a 58-37 non-league win over West Point (West Point, MS). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 2-0.

The Rockets (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against West Lauderdale (Collinsville, MS). The Knights go into the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, West Lauderdale nipped Morton (Morton, MS), 28-27, in a non-league challenge.
