The United South Panthers (Laredo, TX) football knocked off the host O'Connor Panthers (Helotes, TX), 28-14 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Panthers now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Los Fresnos for a non-league outing on Thursday, September 11. United South will clash with a Falcons squad coming off a 38-24 non-league win over Rowe (McAllen, TX). The Falcons record now stands at 2-0.

With the defeat, O'Connor drops to 0-2 on the year. The Panthers travel to Warren (San Antonio, TX) to battle the Warriors in a 6A Region IV District 28 game on Saturday, September 13. The Warriors enter the game with a record of 1-1. Warren won 17-14 in their recent non-league game against Del Rio (Del Rio, TX)
