The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Rocky River Ravens (Mint Hill, NC) and the visiting Berry Cardinals (Charlotte, NC), witnessed Rocky River's football squad topple Berry by a count of 22-7.

The Ravens (1-2) will now prepare for their match against Hopewell (Huntersville, NC). The Titans enter the non-league match with a 1-2 record. In their last match, Hopewell was beaten by Statesville (Statesville, NC), 24-21, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Cardinals play the West Cabarrus Wolverines (Concord, NC) in a Greater Metro (GMAC) 6A/7A battle, on Friday, September 19. Berry will attempt to advance on its 0-3 season record. The Wolverines go into the battle with a 0-3 record after their 56-16 non-league loss to Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC).
