Tennessee High School Football - Riverside can't get by Union City

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Union City Golden Tornadoes (Union City, TN) and the host Riverside Panthers (Decaturville, TN), witnessed Union City's football squad edge Riverside by a tally of 17-15.

The Golden Tornadoes (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Crittenden County (Marion, KY). The Rockets enter the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Crittenden County got by Webster County (Dixon, KY), 27-8, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Panthers confront the Adamsville Cardinals (Adamsville, TN) in a 2A Region 5 bout, on Friday, September 12. Riverside will attempt to advance on its 0-3 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 14-12 non-league win over Chester County (Henderson, TN).
