    • California High School Football - Sheldon thwarted by Wood

    September 5, 2025: Sacramento, CA 95829

    Wood Wildcats (Vacaville, CA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Sheldon Huskies (Sacramento, CA), 28-0 in a non-league battle.

    With the win, Wood improves its record to 2-1 on the season. The Wildcats host Vintage (Napa, CA) to play the Crushers in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 12. The Crushers go into the challenge with a record of 2-0. Vintage won 49-24 in their recent non-league challenge against Fairfield (Fairfield, CA)

    The Huskies (0-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Sierra (Manteca, CA). The Timberwolves go into the non-league challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Sierra knocked off Modesto (Modesto, CA), 27-6, in a non-league test.
