In Friday's non-league game, the Somerset Briar Jumpers (Somerset, KY) football team overcame the visiting Southwestern Warriors (Somerset, KY), by a tally of 35-7.

In their next game, the Briar Jumpers battle the Paris Greyhounds (Paris, KY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 12. Somerset will attempt to advance on its 2-1 season record. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a 3-0 record after their 35-22 non-league win over Pineville (Pineville, KY).
